Once upon a time, in a small village where people lived in peace and animals roamed freely in the surrounding fields. On the edge of the village lived a little boy called Missi. Misi was a happy and cheerful child, but sometimes he liked to joke, even if his jokes were not always appropriate.
One day Misi was guarding the grazing sheep on the top of the hill. The weather was fine, the sun was warm, but Misi was a bit bored. As he watched the sheep, he suddenly had an idea. He smiled and started to shout loudly:
- The wolf is coming! The wolf is coming! Help!
The villagers heard Misi's cry and immediately ran to save the sheep and Misi. But when they reached the top of the hill, they saw no wolf. Only Misi was sitting there laughing.
- Just kidding! - he said, laughing.
The villagers looked at him with annoyance, and one of them said:
- Misi, that was not the right thing to do. Next time the wolf really comes, we won't believe you.
Misi shrugged and went on with his day as if nothing had happened.
A few days later, Misi was guarding the sheep on the hill again. This time he was bored again and started shouting again:
- The wolf is coming! The wolf is coming!
The villagers ran up again, but when they reached the top of the hill, Misi was laughing again.
- Just kidding again! - he said.
The villagers were already very angry. They warned Misi not to play this joke, because once there was a real danger, no one would believe him. But Misi ignored the warning.
But one day a wolf did come. Misi was horrified to see the wolf approaching the hill and heading towards the sheep. Frightened, he jumped up and began to cry out in desperation:
- The wolf is coming! The wolf is coming! Help, he's really here!
But this time no one came. The villagers thought that Misi was joking again and didn't take his cries seriously. The wolf came closer, and Misi tried to chase it away in fright, but to no avail.
Finally, when the wolf had disappeared and the sheep had scattered, Misi went back to the village, sad and ashamed.
- Why didn't you come? - he asked the villagers. - The wolf was really here!
A man from the village shook his head sadly.
- Misi, you've joked about it so many times that no one believed you when you told the truth.
Misi then understood that lies and jokes, if not used properly, lose people's trust. From that day on, Misi never called the villagers falsely again and understood the importance of honesty and sincerity.
