Once upon a time, in a remote forest, forest animals and plants had a serious problem. The forest had been invaded by humans, and every year more and more trees were cut down. The hikers were throwing rubbish away, while their noise was alarming the peaceful inhabitants of the forest.
The forest's famous inhabitants included Dora, the beautiful and clever stork, Eagle Owl, the wisest owl in the forest, and the all-seeing trees that had grown huge over the decades.
One day, the trees called a meeting of the Forest Council to discuss how to protect their beloved forest from destruction and pollution. Animals of all kinds came to the meeting to listen to the wisest creatures in the forest and give their ideas on how to protect nature.
The Forest Council meeting was opened by Owl Owl:
- Dear animals! We are gathered here to discuss how we can protect our beautiful forests. Human activity and pollution are getting closer and closer to us, and we are already feeling the effects. Already many trees have been felled and the homes of many birds and squirrels have been destroyed. And litter is not good for nature.
A young owl sitting among the branches suddenly hooted:
- But why should we look after the forest? People should take better care of the environment, they are the ones causing the trouble!
The owl smiled and replied:
- You are right, dear, people should pay more attention to nature. But we animals can also do something to protect our homes. If we work together and learn to live with nature, we might be able to protect the forest and all its inhabitants.
Then an older tree rang out:
- Uhu my friend, I think I can help you too! For I am the keeper of knowledge and I know every corner of the forest. If we work together, I'm sure we can find ways to protect our beloved home.
At the meeting, all the animals came together and discussed a plan to protect the forest.
At Dora's suggestion, the stork's job was to spy in the air and warn the animals if danger was approaching. And the owls patrolled the trees to find people causing trouble and warn others in time.
And the trees shared their knowledge with the animals to understand how they can use nature without harming it. For example, they taught them how to gather food without damaging plants and forest soil. Yes, the forest dwellers have also had to improve their conservation skills.
The animals were enthusiastic about the task, and came up with more and more ideas on how to protect the forest. The squirrels, for example, decided to build small underground storehouses so that they don't always have to collect food in the same place.
One day, a group of owls found a new settlement on the edge of the forest, where people had cut down many trees and damaged the natural environment. The owls immediately told the other animals, who gathered to discuss what to do.
Dora, the freshman girl, then spoke up:
- Dear animals, it's time to act! We must show people that the forest is not just theirs, but the home of all living things. We must teach them how to protect nature, just as we do.
The animals accepted the stork's proposal and decided to try to communicate with humans. One night, while the inhabitants of the settlement slept, the animals gathered the most beautiful flowers, leaves and branches and used them to form a message to the people: "Let's take care of the forest together!"
The next morning, people were surprised and amazed to see the message. They wondered who had left it there and why. Some of the people decided to pay more attention to nature and the forest, as it is truly everyone's common home.
Over the years, humans and animals have learned to live together better and better. Humans began to protect and conserve the forest, while animals helped them to understand how nature works.
Thus the forest became a place where people and animals lived together and protected nature.
Word of the forest spread far and wide, and people from other countries came to learn the secrets of nature conservation from the forest dwellers. Environmental protection became more and more important to people and the world became a more beautiful and greener place.
