Chicks of pearl and their friends Part 1
Kotyi Kata has been sitting on eggs for almost three weeks. Fefe and Chocolate, the two puppies, have been watching their mother hen for days and have found that Kata Kotyi just "sits" and "sits".
- What are you waiting for? Why aren't you running around with the others? - asked Fefe.
- Do not disturb me! I'm busy!" said Kata Kotyi to him.
- Work? You've done nothing for days, you've just sat and eaten," Chocolate observed.
- I am sitting, yes I am sitting, but this is a very "important" activity," replied the digger.
- Then we sit here too, because the grown-ups always tell us to do something "important" - and the two puppies sit down.
They looked at the excavator with curious eyes and tried to sit "pound for pound". Meanwhile, Kazimierz Kukori arrived.
- What are you doing here? - he asked the puppies.
- We sit like Kata Kotyi! This is an "important" activity... - they said.
- Is it important? - and looked questioningly at the dogs and Kotyi Kata.
- Yes!" winked Kata.
Kazimierz did not understand it, but he thought that the dogs had some "secret" business.
- What do you think, Kata? How long do we have to wait to see the first one?
- "I don't think it will be long now," he said quietly, "Listen, I hear something!
Everybody was listening, suddenly some little yellow "tassel" appeared under Kotyi Kata, then another one... The puppies watched in amazement, because the "tassels" were moving. Then another and another...
- What is happening here? - asked Chocolate. He stood up and looked underneath himself, spinning around.
- What are you looking for? - asked Casimir.
- Something yellow... - and he kept on searching. - Get up! - he said to Fefe.
- Not here either! You don't have it either!" - that's when he noticed another yellow "tassel" stepping forward next to Kotyi Kata.
- This is not fair! We did the "important" activity, why don't we have something so yellow? - complained Chocolate Puppy.
- These are not yellow things, they are PISCES!" - Kukori Kázmér told them.
- I've been heating the eggs for 21 days and the chicks have been developing in them. Because I covered them completely so they wouldn't get cold, you only saw me sitting," Kata told them and stood up worriedly.
- What is the problem? -asked the puppies almost simultaneously.
- One more..., one more is missing, but I can see that he will soon be out.
- I see it too, I see it too..." said Fefe enthusiastically.
Together they watched the sixth kitten "make her way"...
- Together as a team! All beautiful and healthy!" enthused Kata Kotyi.
- They are so alike, how will we tell them apart? - wondered Chocolate.
- They are not the same! - said Casimir Kukori - Take a closer look!
- Really! Their heads have slightly different feathers... - Fefe observed.
- Let's give each one a name! - suggested Chocolate Dog.
- This is a very good idea! - Mama Hatchling was delighted - and I already know who's going to be named.
- Soroljad! I am so curious! - Chocolate asked excitedly.
- Let this be a surprise! We're going to go and introduce the chicks to the rest of the poultry yard - said Kata Kotyi.
