Once upon a time, it wasn't where the pig with the short tail was, but in the middle of the round forest. For there lived a family of cute little bunnies. Bunny Nusi, the mother, Bunny Gyuszi, the father, and their three little ones.
Mother's Day was approaching, and the three bunny children gathered to find out what to surprise their mother with. But this year they had no ideas. Since they had been picking flowers and drawing every year - although their mum was always happy about that - they wanted to give Bunny Nushi a more special present.
They were beginning to despair about what to do when their dad came home. Bunny Gyuszi paused in the doorway and asked in amazement:
- What did you do all day? Such a big mess! Tidy up, because your mum will be done watering the carrots in the garden soon, and she'll be very sad that you've made such a mess!
The three little bunnies suddenly had the same idea: for Mother's Day, they would clean up and tidy up beautifully. I'm sure their mum will be very happy about that, as she's always tired by the evening.
They quickly packed up and went into Tappancs' room to confer. Their parents couldn't understand what had happened, because they always have to beg for hours to tidy up after themselves. And it's not like them to whisper in one of their rooms all night.
Mother's Day is fast approaching. Ears, Tappancs and Moustache were out of bed early. Together, they made breakfast for their parents and asked them to go for a walk and go shopping because they wanted to make a surprise.
This is how Mustache said goodbye to them:
- Don't hurry and don't come in until we say so! Just have fun, we'll see you at noon!
Their parents did. First they went shopping, then after a long walk they spent the morning outside in the garden.
By noon, the three bunny children had everything ready. Ears had to wash all the clothes and pick a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Tappancs tidied up and cleaned the bathroom. And Moustache, being the eldest, made carrot soup, washed the dishes, washed up and then washed up. In the end they had little time left, but together the three of them managed to quickly wipe the dust off the cupboards.
When everything was ready, they called their mum in to see what surprise they had prepared. Nusi Bunny was so touched by the neatness and tidiness of her welcome that tears of joy welled up in her eyes. But that was not the end of the surprise.
Ears, Moustache and Tappancs pulled themselves together and then recited the Mother's Day poem they had learnt together the previous evening. Then they presented the beautiful bouquet of flowers that Phillip had picked for Nusie Bunny.
Their mother hugged them tightly and could not thank them enough for the surprise:
- "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" she said happily. "You have made this a wonderful day for me! I can't imagine a better gift! You are all so clever!
They then sat down at the table where Bunny Nusi had the best carrot soup of her life. And the Bunny children told us how they had planned the day and how they had divided up the tasks. Their mother was amazed to hear what great children she had.
After lunch, the three bunny children cleared the table and did the dishes together. The afternoon was filled with lots of games and laughter. If you don't believe it, surprise your mum yourself and see how happy she'll be!
