(Horns: horns, e.g. of goats, cattle, rhinoceroses - ed.)
Once upon a time, even beyond the Peruvian Sea, beyond the glass mountains, even beyond where the little pig with the short tail roams, from here to there, from here to there, there lived a very, very rich king.
Once this king, as he sat bored in his palace, wondered what else he had not got.
So he started counting on his finger, first of all, what he had. Well, he had gold bullion, silver bullion, copper bullion, iron bullion, stone bullion...
- 'Ooh,' he exclaims once in joy, 'I haven't got a dart yet!
Now, therefore, he orders all his servants to him, and bids them by force to go about the country from Hencida to Boncida, commanding the inhabitants to carry the ears of all the world into the court of the castle.
As soon as his servants proclaimed this mighty command, the people of the land, from wind to wind, brought in carts and chariots the many and many ears; and in a few days the ears multiplied so much that the courtyard of the castle was covered with them, even higher than the tower.
Then the king threw all those many, many, many stumps into the Tisza... When they all get wet: I'll tell you more!
