- Mum, Mum!" she cried excitedly one morning as she ran into the kitchen. - 'What if I brought you a star from the sky for Mother's Day?

His mother sat Matthew down at the table and smiled kindly at him.

- Oh, Matthew, that's a very nice thought, but you know, the stars are so high. How would you reach them?

Matthew pondered, then spoke with great determination:

- I'll find a way! - and smiled as he hurried out of the house.

Máté went to see Uncle Bence, who was the old wise man of the village and always had strange but working ideas.

- Uncle Bence, can you help me get a star for my mother? - asked Matthew.

- Hm, star, right? - Bence murmured, scratching his beard. - I know a way. But you have to look out of the window at midnight sharp, and when the moon is at its brightest, make a heartfelt wish for a star.

Matthew nodded, looking forward to that evening.

At midnight, Matthew stood in the open window, just opposite the shining moon. He looked up at the sky and wished with all his heart that his mother was happy.

- Please, stars of the sky, give me a star to bring joy to my mother," he whispered into the darkness.

As he said this, a sudden wind blew up and a little starlight hit his palm. Matthew's eyes widened in amazement and he hurried home, delighted.

The next morning, when his mother opened her eyes, Matthew was standing next to her, excited, with a small box in his hand.

- Happy Mother's Day, Mom! Look what I brought! - Matthew proudly presented the gift.

Her mother opened the box, and inside was a shining starlight. Her mother's eyes filled with tears.

- Wow, Matthew, that's wonderful! Thank you so much!" she said, hugging her son tightly.

That evening, Matthew sat with his mother on the veranda under the starlit sky. The little starlight still glowed in the box, and it was as if a piece of the sky had moved in with them.

- You know, Mother, every star is a wish that has ever been wished for," explained Matthew.

- "And now we have a starlight," said his mother, happily embracing her son.

Mother's Day is always a reminder that the truly precious gifts come from the heart and are the brightest stars in our lives.
