There was a little pig in the world, and he had a little house in the middle of a big forest. One day, as he was cooking in this little house, a big, howling wolf came and called at the door:

- Let me in, my dear piggy, it's very cold outside, I'm freezing.

- I won't let you go, because you'll eat me.

- So let at least one of my hind legs in.

The little piglet has one hind leg stuck in. But underneath me he put a big pot of water by the fire.

After a little while, the wolf spoke again:

- Come, my dear little piggy, let my other hind leg in.

The little piglet let it in too. But the wolf wasn't satisfied with that either, and after a little while he spoke again:

- My dear little piggy, let my two front legs in.

The little piglet put in his two front legs; but the wolf was not satisfied, he spoke again:

- My sweet, sweet little piggy, let me in all the way, and you'll see I won't lay a finger on you.

So the little pig put a sack neatly by the opening, so that as soon as the wolf came backwards, he would go straight in. With that he let it in. The wolf did indeed go into the sack. The little pig was not slow to do so, and suddenly he covered the mouth of the sack, took a big pot of hot water from the fire, scalded the wolf with it, and then suddenly climbed up a big tree.

The wolf howled for a while, because the hot water had soaked off his fur that not a single hair remained. Then he threw up and threw up until the mouth of the bag burst open for the last time. He got out of it and ran straight for help. And he came back in a tenth or so. They started looking for the little pig. They kept looking until one of them actually saw it on the top of the tree.

They went under the tree and started to think about what to do, how to catch the little pig. Because none of them could climb the tree. After a long time they decided that they would all stand on each other's backs; like the shepherds of the Lydian sheep, the top one would reach it. So they began to climb on each other's backs. The bald one stayed at the bottom, for he was afraid to go up. So the others were all on his back.

They were already so high that only one made a mistake. That one was starting to climb. Then the little pig suddenly cried out:

- Hot water for the bald man!

The bald one was frightened, he jumped out from under the others; the many wolves all fell down; some broke their legs, some their necks, and the bald one ran away so that he was never seen again.

The little piggy got down from the tree, went home, and the wolves didn't dare to come near his house again.
