Three little frogs lived by a beautiful garden pond: Kermit, Bobby and Booger. They were brothers. But not just any brothers! They supported each other all their lives, because they were all very afraid of the stork. They knew that they were the stork's best meal.
One rainy day, a stork moved near their home. It was fearsomely large, and they knew immediately that they had to do something. They wondered what they should do to avoid being hurt by the stork.
The biggest, oldest Kermit the Frog figured out that he was hiding under a leaf. The middle frog, Bobby the Frog, figured out that he would just stick his nose out of the water and when he saw the stork coming, he would quickly swim under the water. And the smallest, Pumpkin Frog, invented a way to paint himself with a waterproof paint that would make him look just like the water. His brothers and sisters wondered what he was doing. They laughed at him, saying that it wouldn't do, he would be the main course at lunch.
The stork came. As soon as he got to the Kermit the Frog hiding under the leaf, a big wind blew the leaf off him. The stork immediately noticed it and, bam, ate it.
The next day the stork came by again. He stopped at the middle one, Böf, who was about to swim away. But he wasn't fast enough, so the stork caught him too.
On the third day, the stork stopped near the smallest frog, Böki, but did not notice him. The little frog had painted himself so well that he looked like water. So he was free to splash around in the water, but the stork didn't see him. The stork went home hungry that day, and the next day went looking for another pond. If the stork had not moved away, my story would have lasted longer.
