Once upon a time, even across the Peruvian Sea, there was a beautiful, beautiful princess, Fairy Viola. They called her that because she was beautiful and because there were so many violets around the castles - the castles were full of flowers.

Fairy Viola loved animals very much, she talked to the birds, cats, dogs, horses, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, goats and even pigs every day. Every day he visited the animals around their castle.

One day he said to his mother, the queen:

- Mother, I would like to go out for a while to play in the meadow, make a bouquet of flowers and braid a wreath in my hair.

His mother replied:

- You go ahead, Viola the Fairy. But be careful not to meet a strange animal! If you do, run away! Take a servant boy to protect you.

And so Fairy Viola did, listening to her mother. She took a very good friend with her, because she never made a distinction between rich and poor. So her best friend was neither a prince nor a prince's son, but a servant's son.

They went together to pick flowers, make bouquets, weave wreaths, chase butterflies and collect bugs. The bugs were let go, of course, because they didn't want to hurt them. They just wanted to see how beautiful they were.

But once they heard something strange. They noticed that the sky was getting cloudy. A storm was coming. They immediately agreed to head home. They would try to make it back before the heavy rain and lightning came so they wouldn't get soaked.

However, as they were about to leave, a large pack of wolves suddenly appeared around them. Fairy Viola was very frightened, and the servant boy suddenly became so frozen. Fairy Viola was so beautiful even in her fright that the wolves could not hurt her.

The pack leader - the oldest, smartest and bravest wolf - spoke:

- I know who you are. You are Fairy Viola. Don't be afraid, we won't hurt you. We know you love animals and you're very kind.

Fairy Viola understood every word. She told him that they were on their way home from the storm, but were very frightened when they saw them. She thanked them for not hurting them and for their kind words of greeting. He wondered how he could help them.

The pack leader said that they actually want to help them. There is a big storm coming and they will be taken home in time to be in a warm room.

He said:

- Fair Viola, get on my back, tell your friend to get on the back of another wolf. We'll take you home. We can run much faster on four legs than you can on two.

Fairy Viola was very happy. She knew that she didn't have to be afraid of the animals, because they were really very kind and only wanted to help them. Besides, most animals are more afraid of people than people are of them.

Fairy Viola's parents were very worried when they saw the dark storm clouds. They were even more alarmed when wolves appeared at their castle. They couldn't understand what was happening, why their daughter and the servant boy were sitting on the backs of wolves.

Fairy Viola told us everything from top to bottom. Her parents couldn't stop thanking the wolves. They asked the wolves how they could repay their kindness.

The leader of the pack said:

- My dear Queen, with all my respect to you and your daughter. Fairy Viola is such a beautiful, kind and wonderful creature that no one would not want to help her. We really expect nothing in return. We are glad we were able to bring her home in time.

But the Queen did not want to let them go at this time:

- Come with me, you must be hungry! The storm is here, don't get wet! Sleep at our place tonight!

They had a big feast, preparing delicious snacks for the wolves. Then everyone went to bed and dreamed of the true friendship that had begun today.
